I love my kids don’t get me wrong but I adore my pets. I don’t even like to call them pets because they are also my kids. I have 2 cats and 2 dogs and yes, I am stopping there. I am a huge sucker for those darling faces in the window of the pet store. The bad thing is that my husband is too. That is how my new baby joined our family.

In October, my son, Billy, was playing in a state soccer tournament in Joplin, Missouri. While he rode the bus my husband and I followed behind. My son stayed in a hotel with his team, while my man and I stayed in a hotel nearby. We were there for 4 days
with not much to do. We only saw Billy at the games.

It was a nice break to be alone and away from home, but after a couple of days we had seen everything there was to see. There isn’t a lot to do in Joplin. I talked my man into going to the local pet store just to look at the animals and he agreed.  We walked in at 8:00 and walked out at 9:00 with Skippy in my arms.

I am not a fan of buying pets from a pet store but that face. He is a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. Big name for such a little guy. He will only get to be around 15 lbs.

He completes our family. With 4 kids and now 4 pets I am at my limit. For the record, my husband has now banned me from even walking near a pet store!
