Do you even think it is possible to train a cat to use the toilet? I didn’t know that you could train a cat to do anything. I love the 2 that I have and I think they are smart but smart enough to be trained into eliminating in the ca mode? I don’t know.
Apparently it can be done. I found the article How To Toilet-Train Your Cat that teaches us how to teach them…..
"The central idea is that the transition from litter box to toilet be accomplished
in a series of stages. You make a small change and then give your cat time
to adjust before you make another small change. If at any time Felix gives
the whole thing up and pees on the rug instead, you’re pushing him too far
too fast; back up a stage or two and try again, more slowly.
In the following instructions, I’ve used the word "rest" to mean:
do nothing for a period of between a day and a week, depending on how flappable
your cat is. (Misha caught on fast and was completely trained in under two
weeks, far in advance of what the books led me to expect.)"
The article goes on to give in depth instructions on how to do this and do it right. It was written by someone that had success with their own pet. I’m not sure if I am ready to tackle this or not. I would like to not have litter boxes around my house or for that matter not have to deal with changing stinky ones.
I will have to think about it. If you have a cat that uses the toilet instead of the litter box we would love to hear about it!

I've heard of this before and if I had a cat then he'd be on a toilet. Instead I have two dogs that use a liter box.

I have heard of training little dogs to use litter boxes. I think that's a great idea. Thanks for stopping by DJ.
