Some pets are better riders than others. My dog loves to ride in a car, as long as he can sit in my lap. This makes driving a challenge, but it’s not nearly as bad as riding with one of my cats, who always gets scared and wets himself. Needless to say, he only gets a ride in the car if he has to go somewhere, like the vet’s office or if we are moving.

The only problem with having a dog that likes to ride is when they want to ride with you and you don’t actually mean for them to go. There are some places dogs just aren’t welcome, like your gynecologist’s office or your aunt’s funeral. Try telling your dog that, though.
