Attack Bees at Site of Car Wreck

I lived on a farm once upon a lifetime ago.  We had cows that would escape the fence every now and then.  While I’m not a cow herder by trade, I can wrangle them if the occasion arises.  It takes me about an hour per cow.  On that farm we were also keenly aware of (and wary of come to think of it) yellowjacket nests.  We tried to avoid these angry creatures at all costs – which is why I never walked down to the pond – there were nests of the boogers hidden in the pasture on the way there.

Imagine the horror of avoiding yellowjackets, bees, wasps, and other stinging creatures on a regular basis, but then at one of the worst times of your life – you get swarmed.  What happened at this accident site could have been predicted given that the vehicle was transporting millions of bees, according to PopFi.com.  And the bees?  All of them angry…

Here’s one on a video camera at the scene (you won’t want to miss the footage if you click through).

So much for being a good Samaritan.
