I’ve been around mean Yorkies. I’ve been around mean Shiatsu pups. I’ve been around mean St. Bernards. Having been bitten, I approach many dogs either with permission or extreme caution.
If a dog is growling and baring its teeth, that’s a pretty big signal for me to stay away.
If a dog is barking, same thing.
If a dog is trying to stare me down, I turn the other way.
Did I say I’ve been bitten? It was a Saint Bernard that sank its teeth in my butt. No sir, I didn’t like it. That’s why I don’t blame the postal carrier for refusing to deliver mail at one dog’s house. Even though it’s a cute little Yorkshire Terrier according to PopFi,
The town council of Northampton has ordered the Joyce family to find a new home for Peggy, or else they may be removed from their rented home. Even Joyce’s neighbors in Dorset admit that Peggy is a danger, with one neighbor saying, “It is a vicious little thing and I have seen it going for the postman.”
Joyce maintains her dog is harmless, saying, “Peggy has barked at the postman but she wouldn’t hurt anyone. She is only little. She has been in this family for 10 years and there is no way we are going to get rid of her.”
Call me a chicken, too!
Adorable Yorkie pictured is not the actual offender.
It’s probably really a very nice, lovely dog.
