The problem with crating your pets is finding a place to put the crate where the pets won’t get bored to pieces. You want the dog to be a part of family life and activity (unless they are incessant at barking), but sometimes the crate is just plain necessary. Here’s a logical solution to the problem – a coffee table crate.
… it really is paramount to think of how your object will be utilized before you design it. In the case of our modern pet crate, we knew we wanted a compact-ish crate that could double as a coffee table. This also meant we had to think of proper air flow for the dogs, so we knew the design would need to include some sort of patterned cut-outs and a raised “lid.”
This is a great idea for when you need a place to store the pet crate in plain sight!
My dogs are insatiable. They’re also very fat because my mother-in-law feels it necessary to give them a treat every single time they go outside to do their business. I think this treat could be so much healthier, less expensive, and delicious for the dogs!
The Basic Frosty Paws Recipe
32 oz. plain yogurt
1 mashed ripe banana
2 tablespoons peanut butter
2 tablespoons honeyMix all of the ingredients with a blender or mixer and freeze in ice cube trays. Small paper cups and disposable egg cartons also make good molds. When frozen, microwave for a few seconds, unmold, and place the treats in a plastic bag and store in the freezer. (Note: if using Styrofoam egg cartons or cups, rest the containers briefly in a partially filled pan of warm water to loosen contents. Unless the Styrofoam is labeled as microwave safe, it could melt.) If you want to be fancy, bone and paw shaped molds are available.
Forget the dogs. I want to eat it myself!
Okay, Malachy the Pekingese that won the Westminster Dog Show isn’t really the child of Chewbacca and an Ewok, but he sure looks like he could be! The evidence:
Lisa Kelley agreed, “he does look like an Ewok, very cute.” And Joy Windle said he looks like “an animated tuffet.” And proud Pekingese owner Lisa McCaughey Enfinger said “beauty is in the eye of the beholder…These dogs may be tiny and ugly to some, but they have the heart of a lion…Loyal and and fearless.”
Warm congratulations to the adorable pup!
