    Taking Photos of Your Pets

I have a cat that take horrible pictures.   For example,  she always turns her head.

My dogs are better, but not much.

What are some tips for taking photos of your pets?  First is be patient.  It may take some cuddle time, some playing, some tug-o-sock or some laser light chasing.  But be patient and try to catch them looking natural (as if pets “pose”! Ha!).

Try to make the background level.  For example, I took this photo of my brother’s dog.

I thought it was a great photo until my brother pointed out that it was … well … lopsided.  Therefore this photo was better because it was level.

Finally - speaking of level - try to get down so you’re eye-to-eye with your cat or dog so you’re not looking down or looking up at the subject.

Patience, even out the background, and stay level with the photo subject.  Good luck!

    Cats Have Sharp Things

I just can’t thank Brittney G. enough for always finding amazing, beautiful, scary, or just plain stories online.  If it hadn’t been for her, I would not have seen this video and been reminded of an incident from my own childhood.  Only the cat in my childhood jumped on and rode my back like a cowboy taming a wild stallion.

    CTRL C, CTRL P

Copy and paste are my two favorite functions of in any kind of word processing… well that and the paintbrush tool which mimics the formatting from one format to another.  Perhaps it’s my love of the shortcut Control functions - or because it was recommended as a good read by San Francisco’s Brittney G. - but this copy and paste scenario from older Disney movies is just too fun to ignore!

Live Cam Week: The Owl Cam

And our Friday finale of live cam week - the Owl Cam!  My dad said he watched it for awhile, but all the owl does is scratch itself.  However, rumor has it that one day earlier this week, the Momma owl brought the baby some food and that was interesting.

    Live Cam Week: Puppy Window

Just because I said “week” doesn’t mean I have more than two days.  So two days you shall have!

The popular Shiba Inu Puppy Cam from a couple of years ago had another litter. The puppies have all gone to good homes, but they recommend the Puppy Window camera.
